Meet Me: Caitlin O’Shea
She’s the third of four siblings, an Elon University graduate and softball lover. We’re talking about Caitlin O’Shea, and we’re proud to have her on our team! Let’s hear more about her story straight from the source.
“I joined Canteen as the Communications Specialist in June 2016 after completing an internship with Morrison Healthcare in Atlanta. I am a former Division 1 college athlete, so naturally I wanted a career that was fast-paced, innovative and required the discipline I learned in balancing school and sports. I wanted to be in the action! My time at Morrison helped me realize that Compass Group could offer me that excitement and so much more.
When I accepted the Communications Specialist position, I knew I would be joining an innovative team who was pushing the boundaries of traditional communication. And since I joined, we’ve continued to do just that. As a team, our goal is to tell Canteen’s story through our people. From day one, everyone I talked to said the best part of Canteen is the people, and I agree. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lot of our hardworking associates and I’ve loved giving them the recognition they deserve through our company newsletter and Canteen TV, our internal television station.
Being that effective communication is necessary in all facets of our business, I’ve gotten the chance to work on a little bit of everything. That’s one of the reasons I’ve always been drawn to a career in communications; no two days are the same.
Today, I’m just shy of my one year anniversary with the company, and if the years to come are anything like my first, I know that I will continue to learn, and ultimately enjoy a very rewarding career. I can’t wait for what’s to come.”
