Canteen Shines At Compass Night Of Stars
The annual Compass Night of Stars event recognizes outstanding performers from throughout Compass Group, and here at Canteen, we get to recognize our associates and teams who go above and beyond all year to deliver great service to our clients. Additionally, three star performers are selected to entertain guests at the celebration, and this year, our very own Jeremy Cauble shined with his performance of “Come Fly with Me.” Great job Jeremy! Support Associate of the Year – Tom Jones
Tom Jones is the man who gets the tough stuff done. He is on our Southeast Division team and supports all aspects of his division with zeal and integrity. Tom is often tasked with leading the field on a number of sector and division wide initiatives, due to his ability to train and manage the team. Tom constantly surpasses the goals set by the division and by Canteen. We’re proud of you Tom!
High Flyer of the Year – Christian Weis
Christian is a valued member of the Midwest Dining team in Bloomingdale, Illinois. He enthusiastically embraces every challenge presented to him and has demonstrated that he is a major catalyst contributing to the significant growth in dining. He spearheaded the teams’ effort at Mooseheart, and was the opening team director two prominent accounts. Congratulations Christian!
Micro-Market Route Driver Associate of the Year – Crystal Richardson
Crystal Richardson is the definition of a team player for the Mid-South team. She is hard working, committed to her client’s satisfaction, and has an impressive ability to balance her customer focus with her willingness to help others on her team. Crystal goes far beyond what is asked of her. She manages the administrative paperwork in addition to maintaining a near perfect route while actively listening to her customers. Way to go Crystal!
CSM of the Year – Daniel Alspach
Daniel joined Canteen Chicago as a Manager in Training candidate. From day one, Daniel owned the Pantry Refresh business for the branch and the business has grown since he took ownership. Daniel helped please a large customer in Chicago by working tirelessly and going the extra mile to ensure client satisfaction. Keep up the great work Daniel!
Best Vendors Associate of the Year – Heidi Evans
Heidi is a Vendor Liaison on the Best Vendors team. Heidi works with Canteen branches in the Southeast and Mid-South divisions while also handling the daily activity of twenty franchisee’s in the southern region. Her willingness to support others and unshakeable positive attitude has not gone unnoticed. Congratulations to Heidi for 17 years of service to our organization!
Dining Account of the Year – Mountaire – Lizetta Bellamy, Dining Manager
Lizetta Bellamy manages the team at Mountaire, a new account for Canteen. Since day one, the team worked day in and day out to make it a top notch account and has recently successfully completed a remodel of the dining space. Lizetta’s DGM, Carolyn Beatty shares the secret to the team’s success at Mountaire, “Lizetta has built a sense of camaraderie and ownership that motivates her team to be great people, providing great service and making great food every day.”
Dining Associate of the Year- Sue Lawler
Nothing about the way Sue Lawler does her job as manager of the Mack Truck plant is ordinary. She does not have a traditional servery and 90% of her sales are made off of a golf cart that’s driven around the plant throughout the day. Sue is no stranger to going the extra mile. Additionally, Sue’s team has been accident free since 2008. Congratulations Sue!
Vending Branch of the Year -Greenville – Stuart Touchton, DGM
Team Greenville is truly that, a team. All 92 associates have felt the benefits of working together as a team, top to bottom, branch wide. They have implemented a Safety School for their associates and have even conducted safety training for other branches. Additionally, they have taken it to the next level by creating a WAR (Winning Attitude Required) Room where they take the time to sit down with each driver to review inventory, share metrics about their route and relay best practices. Awesome job Canteen Greenville!
Vending Route Driver Associate of the Year – Stephen Frieze
Stephen recently celebrated 15 years at Canteen! In those 15 years, he’s proven that his work ethic is second to none. He excels in his role thanks to his upbeat attitude and commitment to customer service. Steve works diligently stock his machines with the freshest food possible with very little spoilage. He knows what his customers like and makes sure it’s stocked. Nobody knows their customers better than Steve. Great job!
CRS Branch of the Year – St. Paul – Sam Steffen, DGM
2016 has been a record year for the Refreshment Services team in St. Paul, Minnesota. It’s taken a total team effort from route drivers to office staff to achieve outstanding growth and customer retention numbers. “It really comes down to a great group of individuals, coming together as a team, and taking a tremendous amount of pride in their work. We want to be the best, and to do that, we need to put the customer first, while continually challenging ourselves to be better,” Says Sam Steffen DGM, “Our team is “all-in.”
CRS Route Driver Associate of the Year – Richard George
Canteen Everett DGM Chris Hettinger holds Rich to the highest standard, “I cannot say Rich goes above and beyond because above and beyond is a normal day for him.” His customers are his top priority and often he knows them better than they know themselves. One of Rich’s clients had this to say about him, “Sometimes his smile is what really helps me through the day, I look forward to seeing him on Friday’s.” Keep up the great work Rich!
