Canteen Partners With Hiring Our Heroes

Canteen is pleased to announce a partnership with Hiring Our Heroes, a nationwide initiative established by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses find meaningful employment opportunities.

Through this partnership, Canteen has committed to hiring 500 veterans, transitioning service members or military spouses within the next five years.

“Canteen is fully committed to being at the forefront in hiring and developing team members who have served our country,” said Canteen Chief Executive Office Peter Fetherston. “Beyond the fact that it’s the right thing to do, we believe veterans have the skills and experience that will help us grow our business at multiple levels of the organization. ”

“We are thrilled to see Canteen step up to the plate and make a significant commitment to hire veterans and military spouses,” said Eric Eversole, vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and executive director of Hiring Our Heroes. “We hope Canteen’s pledge will inspire other employers across the country to follow suit and commit to hire some of the most talented men and women our nation has to offer.”

Through this partnership, Hiring Our Heroes will help Canteen with insight into effective recruiting and onboarding strategies for veterans and their spouses as well as provide opportunities to directly connect with transitioning service members and organizations that support their transition to civilian work. “We are confident that we will not only meet, but surpass, our hiring commitment with the support of Hiring Our Heroes,” said Fetherston.
